Hiking Indian Creek Trail (And Flying a Drone)

Our Indian Creek hike this past weekend was perfect timing for many of us tired of the cold.  KC got a blast of warm air and the temps rose! OF course we headed out for a nice walk and photo opps.  I recommend this trail, it's paved and mostly flat.  We met many friendly people with their pets in tow.
The Indian Creek Trail Greenway is part of MetroGreen®, a proposed 1,144-mile interconnected system of public and private open spaces, greenways and trails designed to link seven counties in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
This trail is unique because it was the first MetroGreen® trail system connecting Kansas and Missouri communities, and it is currently our region’s longest trail system. It is a strong example of the coordinated planning efforts of several area municipalities. The trail is a part of the Kansas City, Mo., Parks & Recreation system and was recently added to the KCMO City-Wide Master Plan. Eventually, planners want to connect the Indian Creek Trail to the planned Blue River Trail and the existing Trolley Track Trail.
The most exciting part?  I got to hold and fly a drone a gentlemen had that was flying it above the creek.  I was surprised at how light the drone was, and how much technical stuff goes into building one like he had.
Enjoy the pictures!
