Need  a perfect non alcoholic drink for  outdoor barbecues, family reunions and days by the beach? While you are planning your summer outdoor adventures, why not add summer mocktails to the menu? I whipped up a couple of delicious drinks for a recent get to gether, and everyone loved them.  Check out the recipes below!

Summer is all about eating fresh, light and healthy.  Mocktails are fun, but can be good for you as well. One particular mocktail, called Summer Bounty, is especially healthy.  Low in calories, light in taste, and fun to serve describes the Summer Bounty mocktail.  You will need fresh lemonade, grapefruit, pineapple and orange juice, mint leaves and  sweetener, not sugar.  Begin by boiling water and pouring the water over the mint leaves to let them steep covered for about 15 minutes.  Strain the leaves and pour the liquid into a large pitcher.  Add 4 cups of lemonade and one cup each of the orange, grapefruit and pineapple. Stir in a ½ cup of sweetener.  Chill the mocktail mix for at least two hours.  Serve in a tall slender glass with fruit wedges and a sprig of mint.

The Raspberry Lemon Lime Fizzy is a mocktail that has become quite popular and is served as a specialty drink poolside at several fine hotels.  This mocktail tastes the best when fresh ingredients are used and it is prepared the night before serving.  Squeeze enough lemons for 1 ½ cups of juice, then squeeze enough limes for 1/3 cup of juice.  Add both the juices to 6 cups of water and drop in one cup of sugar.  Stir well until sugar dissolves.  Add one cup of raspberries, cover and chill in the refrigerator over night.  When ready to serve, use a tall glass.  Pour at least a third of the glass full with club soda, pour in the drink mix and add ice.  Garnish with a raspberry and lemon wedge, add sugar to the rim of the glass for the final touch!
