Kansas City Saturday Walk: The Statues of Ward Parkway Neighborhoods

This weekend I took a stroll (okay, it was more like a serious hike) with my social group, and found a few interesting stone statues to photograph.  We walked the area of Ward Parkway from 57th to 75th street, meandering among the many beautiful homes along this famous boulevard in Kansas City.  To learn more about Ward Parkway and the mansions there, click here: Ward Parkway History. I had a very good time socializing with friends and the weather was perfect.  I plan on heading back to get more pictures, and to take some time to learn more about these statues, that are seen on nearly every street and in every open garden space.  We also stopped at the grandest fountain on Ward Parkway,  the Meyer Circle fountain, pictured below.  Enjoy!
